William L. Williams, 90, passed away at his home in New Strawn, KS July 23, 2023.
Will was born May 30, 1933 in Eufaula, McIntosh County, OK. to Fred Williams and Ruby Ethridge Williams. Will and his wife Nancy, celebrated 55 years of marriage July 1, 2023.
He retired from the railroad after 35+ years of employment. He spent his whole life fishing and hunting. He caught so many whopper catfish in his life, he never needed to tell "whopper" stories. He and wife Nancy enjoyed hosting yearly fish fries for their family and friends. He's up
there fishing in the "big pond" now.
Will was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Tracy Williams (d: 1991), sisters Annie Lou Witt, Virgie Kendricks, Irene Cranford, Lorene Oglesby, and brother Fred Williams.
Survivors include his wife of the home, and children Bill Williams (Pam), Sue Lewis (Bob), Cheryl Farris (Mark), David Williams, Ron Williams (Dee Ann), Cathy Hargitt (David); sister Ellen Brown, brother Dean Williams; ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and one
great-great granddaughter.
Cremains to be spread at a later date in his favorite Colorado spot where he hunted for 40 years.
Family suggests memorial donations be made to Hand In Hand Hospice, Emporia, KS.
