William Morris "Bill" Robinett, 86, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away on September 9, 2026, his 86th birthday, surrounded by family.

Born September 9, 1940, in Olathe, Kansas, he was the son of Amos and Eleanor Robinett. The family moved to Burlington, Kansas, where Bill grew up working on the family farm and graduated from Burlington High School in 1958.

He later moved to the Topeka area and married Virginia (Swenson) Robinett. They shared 65 years together and raised three children: Bryan (Patricia), Mark (Beth), and Terri (Kenney Arnold). The family made their home in Tecumseh, Kansas, for 56 years before settling in Carthage, Missouri, in 2024.

Bill worked for DuPont, Flexel, and UCB for 42 years and retired after a long and steady career. After retirement he stayed busy working on the family farm.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who loved his 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren very much.

Memorial services will be held 1:30 P.M. Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington. Inurnment will follow in Graceland Cemetery at Burlington.

The family will meet with friends from 1:00 P.M. Saturday until service time at the funeral home.
