Vickie Diann Gaddis, 73, of Waverly, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at the Coffey County Hospital in Burlington.

She was born September 8, 1948, at Ottawa, KS, the daughter of George A. and Patricia Anne (Laub) Snow. The family lived at Iola, KS, until 1952 when they were forced to move by the '52 flood. They moved to Lane, KS, and Vickie attended school at Richmond and graduated from Central Heights High School. She attended Emporia State University for a semester and then moved to Lawrence where she was employed by Hallmark Cards. She then moved back to Lane and worked at the Osawatomie State Hospital for 2 years.

On December 17, 1968, she and Albert Royce Gaddis were married at Harrisonville, MO. They made their home in Waverly where Vickie worked at Sunset Manor and also did childcare. Once her sons were in school she became a full-time employee at Sunset Manor. She was Director of Social Services at Sunset Manor and in 2013 was named Healthcare Worker of the Year for the State of Kansas. Her employment at Sunset Manor lasted almost 20 years until her retirement. Vickie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as "Grammy".

She was a long-time member of the Waverly United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Snow.

She leaves Albert, her husband of more than 53 years; her sons, Steve Gaddis and fiancé Linda, and Chad Gaddis and wife Jessica, all of Waverly; 8 grandchildren, Brittnie Larson, Bridjett Gaddis, Haily Gaddis, Kierstin Wonser, Shae Gaddis, Ian Gaddis, Emma Gaddis, and Ellen Gaddis; 6 great-grandchildren, Emmerson, Amaya, Q, Leo, Dior, and A. J.; her mother, Patricia Snow of Lane, KS; two brothers, Gordon Snow (Karen) and Larry Snow (Charlene) of Lane; many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, January 15, 2022, at the Waverly United Methodist Church.
