Ula Faye Eagle, age 88, of Yates Center, Kansas, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022 in her home. Ula was born July 15, 1934 in Vernon, Kansas, the daughter of Loyal Tannahill and Caroline Rachel (Weide) Tannahill.

She completed all of her education in the Yates Center School District, and graduated High School in May of 1952.

Ula Tannahill and Charles Eagle were united in marriage at the First Christian Church in Yates Center, Kansas, on July 20, 1952. They lived in Wichita, Kansas during the first few years of their marriage. Ula and Charles then purchased and moved to a Yates Center farm on Kanza Road, and reside there today. Ula and Charles celebrated 70 years of marriage on July 24, 2022. Together they raised four children: Becky, Rhonda, Kevin, and Rachelle.

Ula worked on their farm and with their livestock, and as a seamstress at the sewing factory, as a CNA at the local nursing home, caregiver for elderly in their homes, and as a homemaker. She was also a beauty consultant for multiple cosmetics companies and managed the local Teen Center.

Ula enjoyed sewing, traveling, gardening, playing cards and socializing with family and friends. She participated in many area community events and activities. She was active in the Extension Home Unit (EHU), Women's Aglow, Woodson County Republican Party, Republicans Womens Group (serving as President) and volunteered & was active in multiple churches throughout her lifetime.

Preceded in death by her mother, Caroline Tannahill; father, Loyal Tannahill; sister, Lois Hollingsworth; sister, Shirley Yeager; and son-in-law, Kenneth Fitzpatrick.

Ula is survived by her loving husband, Charles; her brother, Art (& wife Saraphena) Tannahill; her daughters Becky (& husband Jon) Petty, Rhonda Fitzpatrick, Rachelle (& husband David) Matthews; and her son, Kevin (& wife Nancy) Eagle. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Cheri Kirkland, Eric Petty, Jessica Busteed, Jonann Rhee, Heidi Theurer, Casey Fitzpatrick, Anna Cline, Arminda Young, Sam Eagle, Evan Matthews and Reece Matthews. Also 27 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Saturday, December, 10, 2022, from 9am-11am.
