Trudy D. Gevara, 66 of Yates Center, Kansas passed away Friday, April 22, 2022 at Yates Center Health and Rehab.

Trudy was born in Scottsbluff, NE to Remigio (Mickey) and Gladys Gevara on January 6, 1956. While growing up and through adulthood, Trudy lived life to the fullest as she loved to have her nails painted, listen to music, color, give and receive hugs and kisses and play Bingo with her mother and other family members. Trudy spent many years living in Parson, KS with her late sister, Juanita Hammer and niece, Nancy Baros. Trudy moved to Yates Center on May 11, 2021 and resided at Yates Center Health and Rehab under the care of her sister, Marlyn Walton.

Trudy is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Juanita Hammer. Trudy is survived by sisters, Marlyn Walton (Dick) of Yates Center, Judy Gevara of Parsons, KS and Tammy Tagawa (Craig) of Sacramento, CA; brothers, Mickey Gevara (Lisa) of Larned, KS, John Gevara (Lynn) of Larned, KS, Manuel Gevara (Kathy) of Ottawa, KS, Bill Gevara of Lawrence, KS and Thomas Gevara of Sacramento, CA and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Memorial services will be held at Campbell Funeral Home of Yates Center, KS at 2:00pm on Friday, May 6, 2022. Interment will be at Rosehill Cemetery in Hazelton, KS at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice at 313 S. Market Wichita, KS 67202 Attn: Chenay Sloan.
