Tracy Lynn McCoy of Eureka, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at the Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka. She was 46 years old.

Tracy was born April 10, 1975, in Emporia, Kansas, the daughter of Roy E. and Cindy Lou (Gulick) McCoy. She spent the majority of her childhood in Neal, Kansas. She attended school in Eureka and graduated from Eureka High School in 1993.

Tracy was employed at the Greenwood County Hospital in the laundry dept. for 5 years, at New Beginnings in Eureka for 7 years, and at Flint Hills Services in El Dorado for 13 years as a caregiver. The peopled she worked with loved her. After her sight failed she was forced to retire.

Tracy was a true animal lover. She kept a number of pets and cared for any animal that passed her way. It was hard for her to pass by an animal shelter without wanting to go in and rescue one. She also loved flowers and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Loren and Shirley Gulick and Charles and Iva McCoy, and her beloved pets, dogs Daisy and Barkley and cat Willie.

She will be greatly missed by her parents, Roy and Cindy, of Neal, KS; her brother, Troy McCoy of Neal; her companion for the past ten years Stephan Stener; her special pets, her dog Lucy and her cat Peanut; many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at the Neal Cemetery at Neal, KS. There will be no public visitation.
