Thelma "Kay" Bishop, 81, of Buffalo, Kansas, passed away Tuesday November 14, 2023. Kay was born July 18, 1942 in Yates Center, Kansas, the daughter of William Robert and Eileen Gladys (Jones) Scott. She was raised on a farm north of Yates Center.

On January 25, 1959, she married the love of her life, Paul Allen Bishop at Buffalo, Kansas. They lived in Yates Center before moving to Ottawa, Kansas then to Kansas City, Kansas before retiring together on the Family farm in Buffalo, Kansas.

Besides being a wonderful mom of four children, she worked for the Food Service Department at the KCK public School System retiring 2007.

She leaves her children, Kimberly Kay Badami and husband Pete of Naples, Florida, Scott Allen Bishop and wife Sandy of Urban, Missouri, Sherri Leann O'Brien and husband Gene of Buffalo, Kansas, Shelli Dee Greiner and husband Rob of Shawnee, Kansas; 8 Grandchildren: Kennedy Gardere (John-Astin) Dallas, Texas, Nikki Hooper (Jeff) Urbana, Missouri, Scott (Jami) Bishop Urbana, Missouri, Trey O'Brien (Beth) Yates Center, Kansas, Katie Schields (Elmer) Yates Center, Kansas, Paul O'Brien (Sheena) Yates Center, Kansas, Lindsey Dahlin (Jason) Shawnee, Kansas, Sarah Greiner (Matt) Leavenworth, Kansas. 16 Great-Grandchildren: Elodie, Margot, Jayden, Wyatt, Kayn, Cole, Cooper, Michael, McKenley, Tagan, Shane, Kristen, Trace, Jaci, Elizabeth, and Paul. A sister Phyllis Parker Hutchinson, Kansas. And many other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held at Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center, Kansas from 10:00 am - 11:00 am on Saturday, November 18 and a short graveside service will follow at Yates Center Cemetery.
