Terry Dee Jones passed away on May 7, 2024, at Coffey County Hospital in Burlington.

Terry was born on July 20, 1960, the son of Duane Dee (Jack) and Nancy (Belknap) Jones. He was raised in Burlington, graduating from Burlington High School in 1978. We attended Allen County Community and graduated from Emporia State University.

He began his career in healthcare consulting, then spent three decades in human resource administration. He advanced to serve as chief operating officer for multiple manufacturing companies across the nation.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Linda Baringer, paternal grandparents Silas and Minnie Jones, and maternal grandparents Elmer and Bessie Belknap.

Terry is survived by his sisters Tracy Jones, Burlington, and Tracy Baringer Mooney, Gering, Nebraska, and brother Tom Jones, Hiawatha. He took special pride and joy in his nephews Joel (Mary) Campbell, Alex Campbell, Chris Jones, and grandnephews Logan and Alexander. He also cherished many lifelong friends who became family, along with sixteen first cousins and other relatives.

The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to God's Storehouse in care of Jones Funeral Home.

There will be a celebration of life for Terry on his birthday, Saturday, July 20. Family and friends are welcomed to an open house from 2-4 p.m. at the home of his sister, Tracy Jones, 722 Neosho is Burlington.
