Tanaya Raegean Koger was born December 8, 1977, in Coffeyville Kansas. She spent most of her life living in Kansas. Vancouver Washington became her home in 2017 and she was never happier. She found the rivers and ocean in the Pacific Northwest helped her find a peacefulness and calming effect from life's stress to be exactly what she needed.

Although school was hard, with the help of some amazing teachers, friends, and family Tanaya was able to earn her bachelor's degree in Applied Behavioral Science and master's degree in psychology.

Tanaya found her career path in social work at a young age in Burlington and Topeka Kansas. She worked in group homes and the school system helping children find treatment plans and services for their severe emotional disturbance disorder. Upon moving to Washington, she found herself helping adults through Psychiatric Security Review Board supporting inmates on getting their mental health under control so that they could reenter society safely. Her true passion was found working at SL Start/Dungarvin creating positive behavior support plans for adults diagnosed with MD by reviewing, tracking, and analyzing data.

Tanaya was known for her "tell it like it is" attitude and will be missed by her sister Julie and Brother in law Jason Berger, niece Kari and great niece Elizabeth Holveck, nephew Kendle and great nephew Finley Holveck, niece Olivia Berger all of Manhattan Kansas as well as her aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends from all over the United States. May she rest in peace happily and healthy now with her mam and her sweet Lola.
