Steven Ray Webber, 62, of rural Burlington, Kansas, passed away early Monday, April 26, 2021, following a brave battle with cancer.

Steve was born February 19, 1959, at Burlington, KS, the son of John and Velma (Clugston) Webber. He grew up on the family farm east of Burlington where he would become the 4 ^th generation to operate the farm. He attended the Burlington Schools, where he played football, graduating from Burlington High School with the Class of 1977. In his school days he kept his friends and fellow students entertained with his keen sense of humor. This trait continued into his adulthood.

Besides farming he was a member of the Teamster's Union and worked on pipelines. He was also an excellent vegetable gardener.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Velma.

He leaves his wife, Linda Peterson, of the home; two daughters, Alicia Craft (Chris) of Iola, KS, and Callie Craft (Jeremy) of Moran, KS; grandchildren, Sierra, Jada, Axtin, Payton, Cody, and Corrieanna; two sisters, Eileen Franklin and Elaine Redfern (David) of Iola, KS; his brother, Dennis Webber (Marina) of West Virginia; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.

Cremation is planned. Graveside services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery east of Burlington.
