Steven Dwight has headed for his last roundup and brought in his final harvest. On July 29, 2026, at the age of 42, Steven wrapped up a lifetime of hard work and went home to rest with the Boss in the sky.

Born on May 15, 1984, at Burlington, Kansas, the son of Kenneth Eugene and Cynthia Lucille (Hegg) Dwight he graduated from Burlington High School in 2002.

On January 17, 2013, he and Rebecca Nicole Watts were married at Burlington. They became the parents of two children, Aiyanna and Ben.

Steven spent his life dedicated to the land and the livestock. For many years, his world was measured by the seasons – waiting for the right week to cut, bale, and stack hay, and keeping a watchful eye on his cattle. He knew the simple joy of a full hay barn ahead of winter and the peace of watching a newborn calf take its first steps. A true cattleman and farmer, he lived by the code of honesty, early mornings, and a firm handshake.

Thou the tractor is parked and the fields are quiet, his legacy lives on in the pasture he tended and the family he raised.

Steven's life was focused on caring for his wife and children. He had a special way with children and was always willing to help others however he could.

He leaves his wife, Becca; his children, Aiyanna and Ben; his parents, Ken and Cindy Dwight, Burlington; his sister, Melissa Dwight, Montana; a grandma, Doris McBride, Burlington; many other relatives and friends.

A service to celebrate and remember the life of Steven Dwight will be held 1:30 P.M. Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington.
