Sheri Volland, 68, Burlington, died at her home on Saturday, August 20, 2022.

Sheri was born on February 21, 1954 in Emporia, Kansas to Francis and Carolee Myers Novinger.

She grew up in Burlington and graduated from Burlington High School in 1972. She worked for many years in security for Wolf Creek Generating Station and also did catering.

Sheri was a member of the Red Hatters, Friends of Coffey County Health System, and the Coffey County Cancer Support Group.

She enjoyed cooking for family and friends, and was known for her cinnamon and dinner rolls.

Sheri was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Susan Parks, and 2 infant sisters.

Sheri is survived by her daughter, Laura (James) Griffin, Oklahoma City, Ok, a son, Larry Volland, Jr., Burlington, her brothers, Alan (Cindy) Novinger, Burlington and Michael (Pat) Novinger, Belleville, AR, her sisters, Janis (Monty) King, Topeka and Nancy Craig, Chula Vista, CA, nieces and nephews and great nephews and nieces, Courtney (Corey) Finlayson, Abby and Jase, Jennifer (Eric) Demerith, Morgan, Bryce, and Natalie, Bradie Brown and Denver, Sydney (Chase) Harder, Hunter, Rance Novinger, and Airastyn and Madison, Patrick King, Sarah (Joey) Beilman, and J.J., Nikki Novinger, Kim and Darrin Craig, Gail Lamb, T'ya and D"Ante Lamb, other relatives and friends.

Services will be on Friday, August 26, 2022, at 1:30 P.M., at the Jones Funeral Home, Burlington. The family will receive friends Thursday evening 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Coffey County Cancer Support Group and may be sent in care of Jones Funeral Home, P.O. Box 277, Burlington, KS 66839.
