Samantha Yap Sharon

November 22, 1970 – March 23, 2025

Samantha Yap Sharon, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, left us on March 23, 2025 to join her brother, Connie Yap, and other loved ones in her next chapter of life. We know their celebrations are beyond our wildest imaginations. Their spirit is carried on with all of us as we proceed here. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion.

Born in San Diego, CA Samantha was raised primarily in Chicago, IL before moving to Ozawkie, KS where she went on to graduate from Oskaloosa High School.

She married the love of her life, Mitch Sharon, on April 9, 2005, and together they built a life filled with adventure, laughter, and good-natured jabs at one another.

Samantha's greatest pride was her family. She raised her children, Brooke and Trae primarily in Silver Lake, Kansas, always putting them first. She poured her heart into their every milestone. She took pride in family gatherings, dinners around the table, stability, and cheering them on each path they took. She stitched together a home where love, tough at times, was the loudest rule.

In 2017, she and Mitch moved to Texas to be closer to her children, a testament to the family-first life she lived. In more recent years, her love was extended to her grandchildren, Alaina and Kayden Payne, whom she adored with all her heart. Her newest granddaughter Charlie "Chuck" Stebbins also brought a tremendous amount of joy and love to her heart.

Those who know Samantha would describe her as tough-loving, stubborn, and devoutly direct. They would counter that with praises for the wonderful woman she was who knew how to make you laugh, cared deeply for others, and had an infectious passion for life. Samantha was a highly active person. She enjoyed morning runs with friends and exercising at the gym. She also loved being outside working in the yard, cleaning her house, camping, boating, and water skiing. When she traveled, she admired the beauty of the oceans, especially during her trips to San Diego.

Professionally, Samantha was a respected leader in the dental and medical field. Her relentless passion and commitment propelled her to well-earned positions and praise from colleagues. She made a lasting impact, improving the way companies operated with her sharp mind and unwavering dedication.

Her loyal companion, Harley Dog, was a constant source of joy and a reflection of her nurturing nature.

Samantha is survived by her loving husband, Mitch Sharon; her children, Brooke Payne (Josh) and Trae Stebbins (Britney Workman); her grandchildren, Alaina, Kayden, and Charlie "Chuck"; her sisters, Sonya Taylor and Tiffany Reynolds; her brother, John Reynolds; her sisters-in-law, Christa Freeman, Lori Garland, and Mariah Sharon; her brother-in-law, Jesse Sharon; her nephews, Landon and Rayden Freeman, Brody and Paxton Garland, and Keaton Alvey; her niece, Chelsea Windings; and her great-niece and nephew, Payton and River.

Samantha Yap Sharon will be remembered as a woman who lived fully, loved deeply, and left an enduring mark on everyone she met. Her family and friends will carry her spirit forward knowing one day they will all reunite in celebration of eternal life together.

A Celebration of Samantha's life will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Ranch House Event Center, 28784 UD Hwy 75, Lyndon, KS 66451, with sharing and fellowship following the service.
