Roy M. Hutchinson, 75, Burlington, died at his home on Sunday, October 18, 2020 surrounded by family.

Roy was born on January 7, 1945 in Renton, Washington, to Roy and Ellen Pratt Hutchinson. He grew up in Mead, and attended Mead High School near Spokane, Washington.

On June 19, 1967, he married Nancy E. Froese, at Bonney Lake, Washington.

Roy started out working for Keysor Aluminum in Spokane. He was also an over-the-road truck driver for a short time. He had worked in the oil fields. He had been Transportation Supervisor for the West Elk School System and had worked as a Bus mechanic in Salina.

He graduated from the Faith Bible Institute in 2012. His heart was to help and support our pastors. He was a member of the Ray Avenue Baptist Church, in Salina.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Madge Murray; a brother, Fred Mallory Hutchinson, and an infant brother, Fred Malcom Hutchinson.

Roy is survived by his wife, Nancy, of the home; two daughters, Shawna Taylor and her husband Dan, Douglass, KS, and Shelley Duffy and her husband Kevin, Burlington; their son, Jason Hutchinson, Melbourne, FL; a sister-in-law, Wanda Hutchinson, Clayton, WA; eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services will be on Saturday, October 24, 2020, at 2:00 P.M., at Jones Funeral Home, Burlington. Contributions can be made to Coffey County Cancer Support Group, and may be send in care of Jones Funeral Home, P.O. Box 277, Burlington, KS 66839.
