Rosann Germann Hoskins, 81, of Burlington, Kansas, passed away Monday morning, January 3, 2022, at Holiday Resort in Emporia, KS. She was born November 5, 1940, in Emporia, KS, one of the fifteen children of Theodore and Vera (Whitehurst) Germann.

Rosann grew up in Hartford, KS, and graduated from Hartford High School in 1958. She moved to Emporia where she worked at the Lyon County Courthouse until she met and married the love of her life, Lonnie Lee Hoskins, on May 7, 1960. They made their home in Burlington where Rosann worked beside Lonnie during their 57 years of marriage. She was employed by the Golden Age Lodge for several years as a Medication Aide and later at The Daily Republican and the Z & L Market until they purchased the Coffey Bowl in 1988 which they owned and operated until 2006. Many, many, memories and friendships were made there. If you knew Rosann to say she enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and family gatherings would be an understatement. Apart from being a mother, grandmother, sister, and wife, this was her favorite occupation. She was a life-long member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Burlington and a member of the Coffey County Women's Bowling Assoc.

Rosann and Lonnie became the parents to 5 children, Marvin Ray, Vanessa Ann, Kenneth Richard, Stanley Lee, and Kevin Leroy. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years; her parents; two infant sons; 7 sisters, Dorothy, June, Blondel, Theodora (Joy), Kay, Betty, and Mickie; and 4 brothers, Wylie, Danny, Wayne, and Dale.

She is survived by a daughter, Vanessa (Scott) Tatman of Burlington; sons Kenneth (Amanda) Hoskins of Odessa, MO and Kevin (Lori) Hoskins of Burlington; seven grandchildren, Caleb Guyer (Melanie), Ginny Tegtmeyer (A. J.), Crystal Allen (Joe Jackson), Jennifer West (John), Cory Matlock, (Diana), Alex Hoskins (Kayla), and Robert Hoskins; 19 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; two sisters, Frances and Ida; a brother, Larry (Dorothy) Germann; and many, many, nieces, nephews, cousins, brother and sister in laws; and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington. The family will meet with friends from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, January 14, at Jones Funeral Home.
