Rollin "Wayne" Tatman, 85, Emporia, passed away at his home on May 2, 2020.

Wayne was born on August 9, 1934, on a farm north of Lamont, Kansas, to James and Margaret Hurst Tatman. Wayne was the youngest of nine children.

Wayne graduated from Lamont High School in 1953. He later attended Emporia State University.

On April 10, 1953, he married Eula "Gwen" Metcalfe. Wayne spent his years working as a Ranch hand. He loved woodworking, fishing, and being outdoors.

He was preceded in death by parents, his wife, Gwen, 8 siblings, two infant sons, Kenny and Lonnie, and a daughter in law, Kaye Tatman.

Wayne is survived by his companion, Joyce Sorenson, of the home, sons, John (Terry), Wenatchee, WA, Donald, Iola, Rodney (Marti), Emporia, and Jay (Nelda), Emporia, a daughter, Karen ( Lorin) Peres, Hartford, 21 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson, other relatives and friends.

There will be a private graveside at the Lena Valley Cemetery, in Greenwood County.
