Roger Leon Mathis, 66, of rural Yates Center, Kansas, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023, at his home.

He was born September 6, 1957, at Shelbyville, Illinois, the son of James Luther and Geraldine Ann (Adams) Mathis.

On December 15, 1978, he and Linda Lou Tarrant were married in Illinois.

Roger was a farmer. He had earned an Associate Degree in Agriculture.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Sara Ann Mathis.

He leaves Linda, his wife of more than 44 years; a son, Joshua Adam Mathis and his wife Laura Ann of Iola, KS; and two grandchildren, Mariah and Royce Mathis.

Cremation is planned.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a time to be announced.
