Robert Eugene "Bob" Wilson, 67, of Yates Center, Kansas, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.

Bob was born August 11, 1955, at Pittsburg, KS, the son of Donald and Pattie (Roweth) Wilson. The family lived in several locations before settling in Yates Center where Bob graduated from Yates Center High School in 1974. He then served in the U.S. Army. Following his discharge he returned to Yates Center. He had been employed by the Paul Mueller Company in Springfield, MO, and then by Sauder Fabrication in Emporia, KS.

He and Elizabeth Marie Huse were married. They were later divorced and she preceded him in death in 2009. On December 27, 2013, he suffered the loss of his daughter, Breanna Wilson. He was also preceded by his father, Donald Wilson, and a sister, Donna Byerley.

He leaves his children, Roberta Jones and fiancé Christopher Brock of Yates Center, Rebecca Wilson of Osawatomie, KS, and Kenneth Payne of August, KS; grandchildren, Summer Wilson, Charity Jones, and Issac, Ezra, and Darius Brock; his mother, Pattie Wilson, Yates Center; brother Charles Wilson, Yates Center; sister, Teresa Miller, Hewitt, TX; many other relatives and friends.

Bob enjoyed time spent with his family and liked to fish.

Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Friday, March 17, 2023, at Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center. Burial will follow in Yates Center Cemetery.

The family will meet with friends from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Campbell Funeral Home.
