Robert Lee Town, 71, of Yates Center, Kansas, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024.

Robert was born on February 14, 1952, in Yates Center.  He was the son of Robert and Geraldine (Beam - Twiggs) Town.  Robert graduated from Yates Center High School in 1970.  He was drafted in the United States Army in September 1972 until he was honorably discharged in September 1974.  He served in Vietnam as a combat engineer.

He spent his adult life doing carpentry work in Woodson County and enjoyed helping local farmers as much as he could.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Lynn Town.

Cremation is planned.  Inurnment will be in Big Sandy Cemetery in rural Woodson County, at a later date.
