Robert Bruce Snider, 71, longtime resident of LeRoy, Kansas, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.

Bob was born on April 19, 1947, in LeRoy, the son of Ralph Gerald and Virginia Frances (Corbin) Snider. He attended the LeRoy schools and graduated from LeRoy High School in 1965. Following high school, he worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for a short time before enlisting in the United States Air Force. He served during the Vietnam War. While in the service, his father died, and Bob returned to LeRoy to stay.

Bob was a farmer and a stockman. He had a small farm of his own and worked for several other area farmers. Bob worked for Harold and Norma Mannschreck for twelve years. He also enjoyed working for Larry Crotts and Mike Houston. He enjoyed the outdoors and in his leisure time enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed bowling and golf and liked to visit the casinos occasionally.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jerry Snider; and a brother-in-law, Johnnie Cremer.

He leaves his brother, Richard Snider and wife Beth of LeRoy; his sister, Shari Cremer of Burlington; a number of nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

The family will meet with friends from 10:00 A.M. Friday until the service time at the funeral home. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 29, 2019, at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington. Burial will follow in the LeRoy Cemetery.
