Robert (Bobby) Lee Nitsch, Jr. of Yates Center, KS, passed away on June 29, 2021 at KU Hospital.  He was born on September 1, 1942 to the late Cleo (Vaught) & Robert L. Nitsch, Sr. in Salina, Kansas.  Later, they divorced and Bobby went to Lawrence to live with his Father in Lawrence, KS.   He married Linda Rich on September 18, 1967.  They resided in Yates Center, KS since 1972.  He was a farmer and rancher for his entire life.  He loved the land and making it beautiful.  He was working seven days a week, until the day he entered the hospital.

His wife, Linda Nitsch survives and two daughters, Tami Nitsch and Jamie Nitsch (Michael Julian).  Also surviving is his granddaughter, Lyndsay (Ray Wilson) of Iola, Kansas.  Five great grandchildren of Iola, KS, Raylea Wilson, Devon Wilson, Morgan Wilson, Kollyn Ellis and Emma Wilson.  His sisters, Susie Nitsch, Barbara Shockey and Glenda Lee Shockey, preceded Bobby in death.  Surviving are his sisters, Patricia Pearcy (Orlando, FL) and Debbie Nitsch (Lawrence, KS).  Bobby leaves behind numerous family members and friends.

Bobby was a proud member of the United States Navy from 1959-1963, being released with an honorable discharge.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center, KS. Burial will follow in Yates Center Cemetery.

The family will meet with friends form 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
