Rita Claire Trader, 75, of Gridley, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at her home.

She was born June 7, 1949, at Manchester, New Hampshire, the daughter of Arthur Edward and Agnes Henriette (Prouix) Hebert. Rita was raised in the Catholic Church. She graduated from high school in Manchester.

On September 19, 1987, she and Robert Eugee "Bob" Trader were married at Manchester. They moved to Gridley in 2002 to be near his parents.

In earlier years Rita worked as a Calligrapher. She then was a beautician for a number of years. She loved sports, especially football, and was a avid San Francisco 49ers fan. She loved to travel and enjoyed all things Disney.

Her husband, Bob, preceded her in death on August 12, 2012.

She leaves her companion, Russell Ardery; her adopted daughter, Loretta Ardery; two sisters, Pauline and Shirley; other relatives and friends.

Cremation is planned and the family will have a private service with inurnment in Gridley Cemetery.

Jones Funeral Home in Burlington is assisting the family.
