Penny Denice Cole, 52, of Burlington, Kansas, passed away Wednesday morning, December 21, 2022, at her home.

She was born February 28, 1970, at Emporia, KS, the daughter of Stanley Robert and Mickie Sue (Germann) Riley. She attended the Burlington schools where she was a talented basketball player. After high school she worked as a nurse's aide and a home health caregiver. Penny loved her girls and spending time with her grandchildren and her cats and dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stan and Mickie Riley.

She leaves her three daughters, Amber Cole, Arkansas City, KS, and Ashley Cole and Jessica Brown, both of Gridley, KS; 3 grandchildren, Jesse James Cole and Elizabeth and Gavin Brown; her brother, Perry Riley and wife Roxann, Independence, MO; many other relatives and friends.

Cremation is planned. A graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 30, 2022, at Graceland Cemetery at Burlington.
