Patricia A. Brush, 82, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, joined her Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at her home with family by her side.

Patty was born on October 29, 1942, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Howard and Mildred (Grier) Miller.  She graduated from Ackley-Geneva High School and then attended Iowa State University.  Patty married Francis L. Brush on July 17,1970 in Long Beach California.  They had three children, Paul, John, and Ruth.  She also fostered well over 100 foster children that she loved as her own.

Patty held a few jobs over the years but mainly focused on her family and community.  She was a woman of faith and very strong in her beliefs.  She was a member of various churches as they moved around the country making their life together.  Patty loved the last church she was a member of (First Baptist Church, Burlington, KS) and the people in it.  She loved quilting and cooking, whether it was for family, friends, or church activities.  As their children grew up and left the home Patty and Frank made the choice to start fostering children and she took the lead and ended up fostering over 100 children. She was a selfless and extremely thoughtful lady always putting the needs of others before her own.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Paul (Andrea) of Bella Vista, AR, John of Altona, IL, and Ruth of Emporia, KS.  Her brother Ryan (Carmen) Miller of Couer d'Alene, Idaho. Sister in law Fran Brush, Sheffield, PA and Jan Miller of Iowa. Brother in law Wes (Cindy) Brush of Waretown, NJ. Patty also had three grandchildren she adored, Madison and Miles (John), Boston (Ruth) Boston loved her crafting time with her grandma and she will miss it.

She is reunited with her husband, Frank, her parents, and three brothers, Alan, Jim, and John Miller.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday, March 28, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Burlington. The family will meet with friends from 9:30  A.M. until service time at the church.

Graveside services will be held 11:30 A.M. Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Hampton Cemetery at Hampton, Iowa, under the direction of Woodley Funeral Home, Hampton, Iowa.
