Nadine Sinclair Rainbolt, 98 of Burlington, peacefully passed away at her home March 9, 2021, where she had been cared for by family and Hand in Hand Hospice. She was born January 21, 1923 in Florence, Kansas to Lewis Arthur and Madeline Mona West Sinclair.

She graduated from Burlington High School in 1941.  On May 15, 1943, she married Robert Henry Rainbolt at Daniel's Field Air Force Base in Augusta, Georgia while Bob served in the Army during World War II.  They celebrated 68 years of marriage until Bob's death in 2011.

Following the war she and Bob lived in Kansas City until moving back to Burlington, Kansas in 1949.  Together they owned and operated the D & D Recreation and the R & R Recreation until 1967.  In 1960 they opened Rainbolt & Son Wholesale Bait and Tackle working side by side until their retirement in 1985.

Nadine was a member of the Episcopal Church and later the Burlington United Methodist Church where she attended regularly until unable.

Bob and Nadine enjoyed retirement, traveling across county in their 5 ^th wheel for many years.  Nadine was an avid fisherwoman whether it was on the John Redmond Lake or meeting family at the Grand Lake in Grove, Oklahoma.  There were many of a fish tale told but Nadine had bragging rights most of the time!  Nadine was a member of the Rock Creek Country Club where she enjoyed playing cards.  She also enjoyed gardening and making floral arrangements.  Nadine is probably best known for her cooking and homemaking skills, where she made everyone feel welcomed and loved!  Her family recipes will be passed down from generation to generation!  She loved spending time with her family and friends, Nadine Rainbolt was blessed with a beautiful life!

Nadine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Henry Rainbolt; two sisters, Marjorie M. Remy and Betty Thimes; and a grandson Lance Dustin Rainbolt.

Survivors include her son Robert L. Rainbolt(Bob) and wife Wendy, her daughter Shelly R. Steely and husband Earl; her brother, Harold Sinclair; she was an adoring Grandma to her five grandchildren, Robert L. Rainbolt Jr.(Rob) and wife Tina, Laci D. Friend and husband Chris, Amber Bauer, Brandon and Sean Steely.  Known as Nana by her eight great-grandchildren, Tanner (Regan), Trevor, Tatum, Carter, Cade, Ella, Brock and Addi.  And, on February 24 ^th her first great-great grandson, Brooks Hayden Rainbolt was welcomed to the Rainbolt Clan; and many more relatives and friends.

Family funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery at Burlington.

There will be a come-and-go visitation from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
