Mildred King, 90, of Yates Center, Kansas, passed away early Thursday, September 16, 2021, at the Neosho Regional Health Center in Chanute, KS.

Mildred was born February 4, 1931, the daughter of George Godfrey and Agatha Johanna (Bruggeman) King.

She graduated from Yates Center High School and then studied nursing at Fort Scott, KS. In early years she had worked as a Nanny.

She was a devoted Catholic and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Yates Center. She had also been a member of the Resident Council in earlier years.

Mildred was loved by many. She loved pretty clothes and jewelry and the staff at Yates Center Health & Rehab. always made sure she these.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Ralph King, Irene Galvin, Fred King, Leo King, Rita Matile, Zeno King, and Inez Kuestersteffen.

She leaves a sister, Joyce Foster of Iola, KS; Meghan Douglas, her special care giver at Yates Center Health & Rehab and all the others who cared for her there; other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday, September 17, 2021, at St. Martin Catholic Cemetery at Piqua, KS.
