Michael Trainor, Sr., 62 of Yates Center, Kansas, formerly of Iola, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at his home in Yates Center.

He was born November 19, 1955, the son of Michael George and Marlene Trainor.

On July 20, 1974, he and Linda Mae Kelly were married at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Croydon, Pennsylvania. They made their home in New Jersey and Florida before moving to Iola in 1986.

Michael was a machinist by trade.

His wife, Linda, preceded him in death on September 28, 2010. He was also preceded by his parents and his sister, Marlene Rhoads.

He leaves his children, Darla Ulrich (Brian) of Iola, Wendy Tucci (Christopher) of Glassboro, NJ, Michael Trainor, Jr. of Iola, and Angela Trainor (Roger Pruitt) of Parsons, KS; an ex-daughter-in-law, Mandy Connolly of Iola; seven grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

In his leisure time Michael enjoyed fishing, his computer, and he was a movie buff.

Cremation is planned. Private family services will be held at Highland Cemetery in Iola.
