Michael Keith Lang, 75, of Burlington, Kansas passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita KS.

He was born November 12, 1948, in Paola Ks, to Robert Keith and Alice Joyce Lang. He was one of five children.

He graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1967. He served in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1970 and was a Vietnam Vet. He was proud of his service. When he retired, he enjoyed fishing and gardening.

He married Fonda Marie Hayes and later divorced. From this union, he had three children, Melissa Ann Lang, Melinda Lang, and Travis Lang.

He later married Tracy Cathcard and were later separated.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Larry Lang, his daughter Melissa Ann Lang, his grandson Draven Cathcard, and his brother-in-law Donnie Lee.

He is survived by his sisters Carol Rhea (Jack) of Osawatomie, KS, Barb Stifter (Rich) of Parker, KS, LeeAnn Lee of Parker, KS, daughter Melinda Lang of Burlington, KS, Travis Lang of Irmo, SC, grandsons Skylar Neufeld, T.J. Lang, Nolan Lewis all of Burlington, KS,  granddaughter, Melissa Jean Lang of Irmo, SC, Grandson he helped raise Jacob Cathcard of San Diego, CA, stepchildren Aaron Cathcard of Lebo, KS, Randy Horne of Wichita, KS, Troy Horn of Osawatomie, KS, Misty Cathcard of Kansas City, MO, and 8 other step-grandchildren.

Cremation is planned. The family will have a private service at a later date.
