Michael A. Kirby, Burlington, Kansas, passed away in his home Friday night, January 13, 2023, at the age of 63.

Michael was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on August 19, 1959, the son of Robert and Verna (Mcghee) Kirby. He graduated with a masters in social work. Michael married Francine Lank on February 14, 2009 in Surprise, Arizona.

Michael loved his Harley Motorcycle. He also cared deeply about his grandchildren and one of his favorite traditions was taking his grandchildren trick-or-treating every year on Halloween.

Michael is preceded in death by his daughter, Lindsey Middaugh and his father, Robert Kirby.

Michael is survived by his wife, Francine, his children, Suzan Kirby, Shannon Middaugh, Heather, Dakota Kirby, Jessica Kirby, and his step children, Joshua Lank, Michael Lank, and Caitlyn Johnston, his mother, Verna, his brothers, Rob Kirby and John Terry. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild and many other family and friends.

A cremation is planned with no service.
