Mary Lea Williamson, 83, of rural Hartford, Kansas, passed away early Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at her home.

Mary Lea was born April 15, 1936, on the family farm southeast of Hartford, Kansas. She was the daughter of George Frederick Truelove and Mary Viola (Kammerzell) Truelove.

She grew up on the farm and attended Patmos Rural grad school. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1954. She worked at Newman Hospital as a nurses aide and was a cook at Hartford High School for 10 years.

She loved cooking and quilting, having made quilts for all her family, especially all her new grand babies. They were the joy of her life.

Mary Lea and Donald Harvey Williamson were married on August 14, 1955. They made their living on a farm south of Hartford for 60 plus years and raised three sons, Daniel, David, and Ronald.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Williamson; her parents; and two brothers, an infant, Victor LeRoy Truelove and Dale Truelove; and three sisters, Freda Crouch, Louise Johnson, and Irene Lincoln.  Mary Lea was also preceded in death by seven half-brothers and sisters, Howard Truelove, Lloyd Truelove, Irvin Truelove, Alberta Newkirk, Marguerite Bergman, Lucille Hamner, and Esma Schmidt.

Mary Lea had a special thought that she wanted to share. Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and ever dear.

As per her wishes, Mary Lea will be cremated and no services are planned. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
