Mary Edna Lacey (Burnett) passed away at her home Monday November 4 ^th , 2019 she was 98 years old.

Mary Edna was born October 2 ^nd , 1921 to William Albert Burnett and Trilby Jane Burnett (Bell) in Ha Ha Tonka, MO.

She married Clarence Lacey April 23 ^rd , 1940.  They shared 66 years of marriage.

She was in preceded in death by her parents, 4 sister and 4 brothers, husband Clarence, son James Lacey and grandson Ricky McDaniels.

She is survived by 6 children Phyllis Bitts (Ronald), Sharon Shaffer (Ralph), (daughter in law Joyce), Jack Lacey (Joyce), Linda Johnson (Gary), John Lacey (Carolyn), Dawn Bartlett (Ronald). 17 grandchildren , 44 great grandchildren, 32 great great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 14 step great grandchildren, 11 step great grandchildren, 2 step great great great grandchildren.

She was a homemaker for 35 years, going to work in 1975 at a restaurant in Lebo as a cook for one year.  Then she started working at BETO Junction from 1976 to1982 as a cook. In 1982 she started as head cook at Marais des Cygnes Valley High School until retiring in 1992.

Clarence and her lived in the Melvern Kansas area until they moved to Waverly Kansas were she resided until her death. The last year of her life was spent with her granddaughter Sarah Blankenship (her caregiver)  her husband CJ aka (TJ) and their 3 children.

Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 10, 2019, at the Waverly Community Center.

The  family would like to invite everyone to join them for "coffee time" after the service. There will be desserts and drinks served.
