Mary Margaret "Maggie" Knight, 80, of Waverly, KS, passed away early Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the Coffey County Hospital in Burlington.

She was born December 10, 1944, in Georgia, the daughter of Phiny Cornelius Ray, Jr. and Minnie Cornelia (Arnau) Ray.

The family moved to Osawatomie, KS, when Maggie was a child and she graduated from Osawatomie High School.

On March 29, 1970, she and Charles Thomas Knight were married at Overland Park, KS.

They made their home in Kansas City where Maggie was an Executive Administrator for Proctor & Gamble for 35 years. Following their retirement Maggie and Charles moved to Waverly.

Her husband, Charles, preceded her in death On October 12, 2014. She also was preceded by her parents and a brother, Carl Ray.

She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Kay Schneider (Chuck) of Ponca City, Oklahoma, and Phillis Marie Mercer (Bob) of Crystal River, Florida; a son, Rick Sinclair and wife Edee of Needville, Texas; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Mike Ray, Florida; other relatives and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Key West Cemetery, east of Lebo.

The family will meet with friends from 6:30 to 7:30 P.M. Tuesday at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington, KS.
