Mary Alice Holladay passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Doris Faye Homes in Wichita, Kansas.  She was 78 eight years old.  Mary was born to Frank and Libbie (Salava) Pecka on August 15, 1945 in Emporia, Kansas.

Mary grew up on the family farm with her parents, and two sisters, whom she cherished deeply, Sarah (Marvin) Withers and Darlene (Pete) Meats.  She attended most of her elementary school at Venard Country School and finished at Burlington Elementary and graduated high school in 1964 from Burlington High School.

She was united in marriage to Gary Stulp on August 3, 1968.  From this union, her pride and joy, Traci Dawn was born.  Gary proceeded Mary in death on May 14, 1976.  After Gary's death, Mary attended Vernon School of Cosmetology and graduated in 1978.  She worked as a hairstylist until she retired in May 2018.

Mary married K. Scott Adams on January 12, 1980 and later divorced in 1991.  She also gained two bonus daughters from this union, Teri and Amy.

Mary enjoyed a good garage sale and couldn't resist stopping any time and every time she saw one.  She also enjoyed working in the yard and you knew things were getting serious when she pulled out her snippers.  Mary enjoyed dancing and particularly enjoyed going to listen and dance to the bands at Piqua Knights of Columbus on Saturday nights.  This is where she met Robert E. (Bob/Doc) Holladay, Jr and he two-stepped her down-the-aisle on March 1, 1996.  They enjoyed taking cruises, camping and most of all attending and watching any and everything their grandchildren were a part of.  She particularly enjoyed taking them fishing and baking with them.

Mary is survived by her husband, Bob Holladay of Yates Center; her daughter Traci and husband Doug Adams of Wichita, Kansas; daughter Mindi and husband Chad Estes of Toronto, Kansas; daughter Nikki and husband Justin Jacobs of Yates Center, Kansas; and son Rob Holladay and wife Allison of Mount Airy, North Carolina.  She is also survived by 13 of her greatest loves, her grandchildren, Daryean (Brent) Torrens; Shayna Karmann, Broc Adams, Drey (Alexa) Estes, Sam Adams, Gavin Adams, Jayden Jacobs, Emerson Adams, Ethan Holladay, Aybrei Jacobs, Brayden Holladay, Rylan Holladay, and Aydin Adams; as well as four great-grandchildren Lydia Torrens, Andrew Torrens, Annistyn Torrens, and Ava Estes.  Mary is also survived by her sisters Sarah Withers and Darlene Meats, nieces and nephews, and other loving family and friends she held dear.

Mary is proceeded in death by her parents, Frank and Libbie Pecka and her first spouse, Gary Stulp.

A celebration of Mary's life will be held on Saturday, December 16th at 10:30 am at the Jones Funeral Home in Burlington, Kansas.  The family will receive visitors on Friday, December 15th from 6pm to 7pm, also at Jones Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left in the care of Jones Funeral Home for the Doris Faye Care Homes in Wichita, Kansas and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice – whose kindness, care and compassion to Mary and our family during the last weeks were a blessing our family will never forget and will be forever grateful.
