Mary Madeline Garrett, 95, longtime resident of Burlington, KS, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022, at San Antonio, TX.

Mary was born October 24, 1926, the daughter of Jasper Burton and Nettie Maude (Quinn) Stutesman.

She and Daryl Dean Garrett were married on January 23, 1948. Daryl preceded her in death on September 3, 2001. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Douglas and Joe Garrett.

She leaves her daughter, Janice Mitchell and husband Scott, of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Meredith Coplen (Dennis), Corpus Christie, TX, Daniel Mitchell (Nicole), San Antonio, Luke Mitchell, San Antonio, and Ben Garrett, Burlington; several great-grandchildren; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 25, 2022, at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington, KS. Burial will follow in Stringtown Cemetery northeast of Burlington. The family will meet with friends from 10:00 A.M. until funeral time at the funeral home.
