Martin A. Stohs, 97, Burlington, KS, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, February 21, 2020.  He was born April 3, 1922 on the Stohs homestead in rural Aliceville, Kansas. Martin was united in marriage September 4, 1949 to Lois True at St John Lutheran Church, Aliceville.  Their marriage was blessed with five children, Norman, Laverne, Nancy, Glen and Linda.

Martin was a farmer all his life in the Aliceville area and served his church as a volunteer in many ways.  Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Bertha Stohs; three brothers, five sisters, and a son-in-law.

He is survived by his wife, Lois, of 70 years, two sons, Norman (Mildred) Stohs, Burlington, Glen (Cindy) Stohs, LeRoy, and three daughters, Laverne (Randy) Lafrentz, Ft Wayne, IN, Nancy Farmer, Towanda, KS, Linda Wallace (Bryan), Shawnee, KS, eleven grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and friends.

We rejoice in the glory that is now his as he spends eternity with Christ. Visitation will be from 6-7 PM, Monday, Feb 24, at Jones Funeral Home, Burlington, with memorial services at 10:00 AM Tuesday, Feb 25, at St John Lutheran Church, Aliceville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St John Lutheran Church and may be sent to Jones Funeral Home, P.O. Box 277, Burlington, KS 66839.
