Marjorie Helen Urton of rural Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Thursday morning, November 28,2024, at her home. She was 92 years old.

She was born October 24, 1932, at Yates Center, KS, the daughter of Albert Henry and Frances Alberta (Storer) Moyer. She spent her childhood in Yates Center and graduated from Yates Center High School in 1950.

On November 26, 1950, she and Howard Eugene Urton were married at Yates Center. They would become the parents of six children.

Following their marriage they lived in the Toronto, KS area before moving to other various locations including Kansas City, KS, Odessa, MO, Piper, KS, and Tonganoxie, KS, before moving to their farm north of Ottawa in 1970. Marjorie worked at different jobs over the years including Woody's Restaurant in Kansas City, Westinghouse, Bendix, Waymire's Grocery, Platner Plastics, and finally King Radio, where she retired from.

Her husband, Howard, preceded her in death on August 12, 2015. She was also preceded by a grandson, Ronnie Spencer; brothers Eugene, Richard, and Paul Moyer; sisters Doris Moyer and Dorothy Wolff; a daughter-in-law, Teresa Urton; and a son-in-law, Harold Hinderliter.

She leaves her children, Richard Urton, Ottawa, KS, Connie Wadkins, Quenemo, KS, Lyle Urton (Virginia), Gary Urton, Margie Hinderliter (Rod), and Candy Huffman (Chris), all of Ottawa; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Duane Moyer (Shirley), Chanute, KS; brothers-in-law Clinton Wolff, Kansas City, KS, and Earl Urton, Rose Hill, KS; a sister-in-law, Pauline Urton, Waverly, KS; numerous nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held 1:30 P.M. Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Yates Center Cemetery, Yates Center, KS.
