Marion Francis Beyer, 89, of Gridley, died at the Sunset Manor in Waverly on September 20, 2019.

Marion was born on September 6, 1930, the son of Jacob and Anna Ott Beyer, at their home at Gridley.

On October 12, 1952, he married Nelda Faye Henry at the Gridley United Methodist Church. Nelda died on February 24, 2019.

Marion grew up at Gridley and graduated from Gridley High School. He had farmed and sometimes worked at Countertop Trends. He was a member of the Gridley United Methodist Church. He had served on the Farm Bureau Board.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, four brothers, Amos, Lloyd, Clarence, and Kenneth, four sisters, Bertha Beyer, Louise Shaffer, Mildred Rodgers, and Edith Todd, and a stillborn boy.

Marion is survived by his daughter, Denise Eccles and her husband Art his son, Kevin Beyer and his wife Melanie, all of Gridley;  9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM, on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Gridley United Methodist Church, with burial following in Gridley Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the Jones Funeral Home in Burlington.
