Marilyn Kay Dugger, 63, of Yates Center, KS, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018 in Mulvane, KS with her family by her side.

Born January, 29, 1955, in Burlington, KS to Evelyn Joyce Kimmell and the late James Keith Kimmell. She graduated from LeRoy High School in 1973. She attended Emporia State University, graduating in 1977 with a degree in Accounting.

She is preceded in death by her late husband, Benjamin A. Dugger who passed away February, 2008.

She is survived by her only daughter and best friend, Amanda B. Abasolo and husband Michael and their four children, Alexis, Trey, Kaiden, and Jaxton, all of Mulvane, KS, and mother Evelyn Kimmell of LeRoy, KS.

Marilyn will always be known for her kindness, her work ethic, and above all, her love for her daughter Amanda and her grandchildren. She was a perfect mother, a terrific daughter and sister, a great friend, and the best grandmother on earth who loved her grandbabies to the moon and back, and then some.

She began work at the Kansas Grain Elevator in LeRoy, KS before transferring to the Yates Center CO-OP where she would work for the next 30 years. She loved her work at the CO-OP and loved the people she interacted with just as much, but it was second to her love of working on the family farm throughout her life and the work she did around her own home. It was common to find Marilyn mowing, digging, building, fixing, and painting.

Marilyn is also survived by her brother, Terry Kimmell and wife Donna of LeRoy, KS, and their children, Rustin Kimmell of Kansas City and Garrin Kimmell of San Francisco, CA; sister Marcia Hunter and husband Richard of Dover, FL and their children Andy Hunter of Lakeland, FL and Becky Hunter of Austin, TX; aunts, Iva Bowen and Audrey Keith; uncle John Wayne Norman and wife Roberta of Waverly; and many cousins she loved. She was also preceded in death by her aunts, Adelia Ritchey and Mavis Mercham.

The family will receive friends and loved ones, Thursday, July 5, from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center, KS.

Memorial services will be conducted at 10 A.M. on Friday, July 6, 2018, also at Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center, KS.

A graveside service will be conducted immediately following the service at Logue Cemetery in LeRoy, KS.
