Marguerite Otto, 93, of Yates Center, Kansas, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018, at Yates Center Health and Rehab.

She was born August 5, 1925, in Toronto, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence and Grace (Counterman) Reynard. She grew up on the family farm north of Yates Center.

On September 23, 1950, she and Russell Howard Otto were married. They moved to Kansas City in 1964 and returned to Yates Center in 1979 after retiring.

Marguerite was a member of the Yates Center United Methodist Church. She did volunteer work in the Yates Center schools and community. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, reading, and spending time with family.

Her husband, Russell, preceded her in death on October 24, 1994. She was also preceded by a son, Gary McConnell, her parents, and her sister, Melba Jean Brodman.

She leaves her children, Sheryl Miller of Independence, KS, and Jerry Otto and wife Sharon, Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Stacy Brodman, Susan Miller, and Brett Otto; great-grandchildren, Cassie and Shelby Bieszczat and Reed and Brady Otto; great-great-grandchildren, Jaylyn Cotton and Willow Grace Bieszczat; other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 24, 2018, at the Yates Center United Methodist Church.
