Lonny Merrill Jasper, a gifted mechanic and life-long resident of Coffey County, KS, died
unexpectedly on November 28th, 2022, at the age of 66 at the Coffey County Hospital.

Lonny is survived by his children Wendy Jasper-Peters and her husband Jake Peters, Katie
Teague and her husband Samuel Teague and their son Martin, and JJ Jasper, wife Ashley
Butterfield and their children Jacob Jasper, Alley Voiers, Colt Jasper, Brock Jasper, and Brody
Jasper; his siblings Lee Garriott, Johnny Jasper, and Shirley Altic.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John, and Eunice Jasper.

Lonny's ability to instantly connect with people and build lasting friendships was his greatest
gift. He never knew a stranger and was known to quietly help those in need. He loved his
grandkids, hunting, fishing, dogs, and playing pranks. He liked to tinker and build things
including a go-kart with poorly functioning brakes (which Wendy took for an inaugural drive
only to hit a pear tree), a super soaker from a fire extinguisher and compressed air that hurt like
hell, when you got sprayed, and a dog box that was perfect for Katie to get trapped in for the
better part of a day one summer. He was also a skilled magician, disappearing JJ on several
occasions (it is assumed JJ grew out of it). Ever the poet, he could cleverly string together
several expletives in new and fun ways with the "f-word" being a personal favorite.

A celebration of life will be held at the Jones Funeral Home in Burlington, KS on Saturday, January 7th
2022, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. All are welcome to come share cherished memories.
