Lonnie Leon Shrofe, 58, passed away February 4, 2021 at his home in Yates Center, Kansas. He was born to Leland F. and Arlene (Kittleson) Shrofe on April 15, 1962, in Eureka, California. He was preceded in death by his parents Leland and Arlene Shrofe and his sister Gayle Godoy.

He is survived by his compantion, Judy Cuppy, of the home; his children Crystal Castelhans, Eric Shrofe, Ronald Holmquest & Donna Davis of Yates Center, Don Cuppy (Michele) of Fallower KS, Tonya Cuppy & Kim Leckrone of Yates Center, Marchelle (Kelly) Shaffer of Yates Center Kansas, Blake & Aaron & Kaidan Cuppy of Yates Center Kansas; 15 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

Lonnie held many jobs over the years after serving in the army, he was a truck driver as well as a crossing guard for Yates Center School District. Additionally, he worked at Countertop Trends in Gridley and Hi Lo Cabinets in Chanute.

Cremation is planned. A private family service will be held at Yates Center Cemetery at a later date.
