Lois Inez Maine, 86, Lebo, Ks went to be with Jesus at the Senior Housing in Waverly, on October 16, 2018.

Lois was born on August 6, 1932, at Lecompton, Kansas, to Marvin Booker and Mary Inez Holloway Richardson.  She attended Melvern High School, was Homecoming Queen and graduated Valedictorian in 1950.

On December 24, 1950, she married Russel A. Maine at the Mt. Pleasant Church, north of Melvern.

Lois was a member of the Lebo Baptist Church.  She participated in their Community Outreach Program and volunteered at the Help House in Lyndon for many years. She loved reading books of her interests and spent many hours reading her Bible. She enjoyed her plants, flowers and had a green thumb.

Lois is survived by her husband, Russel, of the home, 9 children, Nancy (Tom) Merrell, Springdale, AR, Ruth (Mark) McNabb, Bastrop, TX, Mary (Jerry) Collins, Waverly, KS,  Anita (Terry) Ashlock, Bee Branch, AR, Bonita ( Stanley) Case, Clarksville, AR, John (Pam) Maine, Salina, KS, Rick (Debbie) Maine, Fruitport, MI, Ken (Cyndee) Maine, Wichita, KS,  Loretta Maine, Bella Vista, AR, her sisters, Betty Bumgardner, Platteville, WI, Addie (Dean) Hoffsommer, Overbrook, KS, Cheryl ( Don) Valliquette, Ozark, AR, her sisters in law, Lorraine Richardson, Carthage, MO, and Frankie Richardson, Scranton, KS,  29 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, many relatives and friends.  Proceed in death by her parents, sister Evelyn, three brothers Thayer, Dale and Gaylord and one great grandchild Taffani Merrell.

Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 20, 2018, at the Jones Funeral Home, Burlington. The family will receive friends on Friday, 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lincoln Cemetery, Lebo, Kansas. After the burial friends are welcome to meet at the Lebo Baptist Church for coffee.  Contributions can be made to the Lebo Baptist Church Outreach Program or the Help House in Lyndon and may be sent in care of Jones Funeral Home, P.O.
