Linda Elizabeth Holman, 70, passed away on November 17, 2023, in her home surrounded by her family.

Born April 19, 1953 to Larry and Dorothy Libuszowski, Linda lived most of her childhood in Chicago, Illinois with her siblings Bill and Gayle, with grandparents, aunts, and uncles nearby. At the age of 10, Linda moved with her family to Garden Grove, California, awakening her life-long love for the beach.

As an adult, Linda became a mother to Jason, then to Kristofer, all while lending her bookkeeping and organizational expertiese to a few lucky companies before working at San Onofre Nuclear Generating Facility. Here she found one of her best friends, Gloria Stone, who claims credit for Linda's introduction to the love of her life, the incredibly ripped and handsome Skip Holman. Linda and Skip were married in 1984. Shortly after, they moved their family from sunny California to work at a brand new nuclear power plant in New Strawn, Kansas. As they entered the tiny town made of dirt roads, a bait shop, and a liquor store, Linda cried as hard as the freezing rain they arrived in.

Her sorrow was lightened by the numerous incredible people she met; so much so that she wanted to stay instead of moving on to the east coast, their original plan. When Craig and Gloria Stone and Ron and Patti Gilliam moved from California too, she knew she was right where she was supposed to be. The three couples became best friends, living life and raising kids together. Linda and Patti even went into business together as owners of Mane Street Salon. Linda then became the technology instructor at Burlington Elementary until she retired in 2017.

After buying a house in Burlington, Linda and Skip had two perfect, well-behaved daughters, Rebecca and Allison. The couple raised their four children, faithfully encouraging them in their education and extracurriculars. Linda radiated her love for the beach, animals, James Taylor, cleaning to Eric Clapton, reading, wine, Amazon Prime, and corny jokes and puns. She continued to share these passions with her preferred people, her 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at St. Francis Xavier on Thursday, November 30th at 10:00 a.m.
