Leann Renae Reid, 50, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022, at St. Luke's South Hospital in Overland Park, KS, with her family by her side.

She was born January 17, 1972, at Blytheville, AR, the daughter of John and Mary Ann (Coltrane) Reid. She spent most of her early years in Ellsworth, KS, and graduated from Ellsworth High School. She then attended Kansas State University earning her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Special Education.

She began her teaching career at Leavenworth and the taught in schools in Kansas City, KS and then in the Shawnee Mission School District for 10 years. Due to being diagnosed with MS she was not allowed to teach in the classroom so she began tutoring and teaching online. She touched many lives in her career and really enjoyed tutoring her young students. She was a member of Westside Family Church in Lenexa, KS.

As shared with her family during her final days "Her family was her heart". She will be greatly missed by her parents, John and Mary Reid of Derby, KS; her brothers and sisters, Angela Meigs (Doug), Shawnee, KS, Eric Reid (Amy), Manhattan, KS, Christopher Reid (Alisa), Haysville, KS, Peter Reid (Misti), Manhattan, KS, and Sabrina Thomas (Brent), Huntington, WV; 14 nieces and nephews; several uncles and aunts; many other relatives and friends.

Family graveside services will be held in Gas City Cemetery at Gas City, Kansas.

A memorial service will be held 11:30 A.M. Monday, January 31, 2022, at Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center, KS.

The family will meet with friends from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday at Campbell Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Kansas City.
