Lavita Maria Griffith, 44, of Waverly, Kansas passed away on July 2, 2021, at her home.

Lavita was born on April 29, 1977, in Kansas City, Kansas to Dan and Loretta Sidebottom, Sr. and grew up in Bates City, Missouri.

Lavita was strong willed and had a giving heart and enjoyed helping people with everything she had. She was known for her warming heart and unconditional love for her children, family, and friends. She loved crocheting blankets, gardening with her father, painting her mother's nails, having long talks, and reading the word of the Lord in her spare time.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Claude and Eula Robinson, and Harvey Sidebottom and  Mary Grammer.

She is survived by her parents, Dan and Loretta Sidebottom, Sr, Waverly, her children, Zachary Gerad, Olathe and Isacc Sidebottom, Waverly,  her daughter, Jazzmin Griffith, Waverly, her brothers, Dan (Belinda) Sidebottom, Jr, Emporia, Dennis (Michelle) Sidebottom, Iola, and Donnie (Kim) Sidebottom, Waverly, eight nieces, seven nephews, eight great nieces, and seven great nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Services will be 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at the Jones Funeral Home, Burlington. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Jones Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses and may be mailed to Jones Funeral Home, P.O. Box 277, Burlington, KS 66839.
