Larry Dennis Herman, 69, of Burlington, Kansas, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021, at his home.

Larry was born November 10, 1951, in Wichita, Kansas. He was the oldest of four half-siblings.

Larry started his process of joining COF in October of 1987, where he worked and lived the rest of his life. While living in COF supported living, Larry had a beloved cat, Bootsie. Larry also lived in a few other houses within COF, but as he got older he decided to move into Miller house, where he lived until he passed. Larry loved to work; he worked on several different contacts through IEE, and his favorite contract was working on the Always Save Mayo displays.

Larry enjoyed WWE wrestling events, keeping up with and going to KU, Royals, and Chiefs games. Larry loved bowling and going to the Special Olympics. Carrie Hegg worked at COF and became Larry's guardian in 2010. Since then Carrie and her family have been a big and important part of Larry's life. Larry enjoyed spending time with Carrie and her family on the holidays and watching her kids play sports. He always looked forward to going places with her and her family. He enjoyed sitting down for a meal with her when she would come over.

Larry was a part of the Burlington Christian church. He volunteered at the Old 75 Art Gallery in Burlington, KS. He also volunteered with the City of Lebo by making goodie bags for Santa to give to the children at Christmas time.

Larry will be missed by his many friends.
