Kevin Dean Sobba, 56, of Burlington, Kansas, passed away Monday morning, October 12, 2020 at his home.

Kevin was born March 20, 1964, in Burlington, the son of Don and LeEtta (Rohr) Sobba.

Kevin grew up in Prairie Village, Kansas, and graduated from Shawnee Mission East in 1983. He was a truck driver for USF Dugan and Chris Trucking for over 20 years.

On August 2, 2013, Kevin married Yasmin Camargo in Burlington, and in 2014 they moved to Florida, where they lived until 2019 and had plans to retire in Bogota until his heath rapidly changed.

Kevin and Yasmin had recently purchased a home in Yates Center and were in the process of remodeling.

Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, LeEtta; grandparents, Louis and Mary Sobba, Otis and Maude Rohr; a nephew, Rich Horstmeyer.

He leaves his wife, Yasmin Sobba, of the home; three daughters, Sarah Sobba, Orlando, FL, Courtney Sobba, Burlington, and Maria Sobba, Buenos Aires, Argentina; father, Don Sobba, Burlington; sisters, Tawnya Knipp (Darrell), New Strawn, and Veronica Hess (Robert), Gardner, KS; nephews, Kyle Hess, Bear, DE, and Zach Hess, Overland Park, KS; great-nephew, Gavin Horstmeyer, Gardner, KS.

A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 17, 2020, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Burlington. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery west of Burlington.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday at Jones Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jones Funeral Home to help with final expenses, and may be sent in care of Jones Funeral Home, P.O. Box 277, Burlington, Kansas 66839.
