Kenneth Dean Anderson, 93, New Strawn, died at the Coffey County Hospital on Friday morning, October 11, 2019.

Kenneth was born on January 19, 1926, in Burlington to Christian and Nellie Richter Anderson.

He married Marie McGlothlin in May 1947 and had two sons. They were later divorced. He then married Donna David Hoch on July 5, 1977 at Miami, Oklahoma.

Kenneth was a member of the Burlington United Methodist Church, the V.F.W. in Emporia, the Congdon-Kepler Post #38 of the American Legion, and the Odd Fellows.

Kenneth farmed and worked for John Deere dealerships for 25 years, in Burlington, Topeka, Marion, and Emporia from which he retired. He also worked for the Rural Electric Cooperative for 15 years.

Kenneth was extremely proud of his service to his country.  He served in the Navy during WWII from 1943 -1946 aboard the USS Dixie.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Raymond Anderson, and his sister, Marjorie Herr.

Kenneth is survived his wife Donna, of the home, his sons, Dennis (Norma), Copan, OK, and Larry (Terri), Burlington, his step children, David (Linda) Hoch, Burlington, Rod (Norma) Hoch, Osage City, Mike (Barbara) Hoch, Burlington, Galyn (Charlie) Meier, and Darla (Dave) Dees, both of New Strawn, a brother, Virgil (Helen) Anderson, Auburn, 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Services will be 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at the Jones Funeral Home, Burlington. The family will receive friends 7:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., on Tuesday evening.
