Kathleen Louise "Kitty" (Hegg) Wright, 69, of Burlington, Kansas, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2019, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.

Kitty was born August 7, 1949 in rural Yates Center to Howard Henry and Audrey Lucille (Leatherman) Hegg. She grew up in Burlington, graduating from Burlington High School in 1967. After high school, she attended Allen County Community College. Kathleen held many different jobs throughout her life, starting as a truck driver for North American Van Lines in the '70's. She worked for Daniels International as a pipe fitter during the construction of Wolf Creek Generating Station, and worked various construction jobs for Daniels Intl. in Colorado, Arizona, and Utah. She met Ronald Lynn Wright in Ogden, Utah, and they married on March 29, 1985 in Burlington, Kansas. Kathleen worked for the Treasury Department in Utah and the Utah Department of Transportation before retiring in 2011. She and Ron moved back to Burlington in December 2011 to be closer to family.

She was a member of the New Strawn Community Christian Church.

Kitty was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Henry and Audrey Lucille Hegg.

She is survived by Ron, her husband of 34 years; six children, Kristy Reeves (Tim) of LeRoy, Kasey Holveck of Burlington, Kody Wright (Ceneca) of Burlington, Michelle Lee of Idaho, Dan Wright of Idaho, and Mindy Bryant of California; 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; her four sisters, Betty Sayler, Carolyn Crooks (Rick), Peggy Counts, and Cindy Dwight (Kenny) all of Burlington; many other relatives and friends.

Cremation is planned. The family will meet with friends from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington. Inurnment will follow the visitation in Yates Center Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Coffey County Cancer Support Group or the New Strawn Community Christian Church, and may be sent in care of Jones Funeral Home, PO Box 277, Burlington, KS 66839.
