Karen V. Lightle,72, of Waverly, Kansas passed away April 28,

2019.

Karen was born on March 17, 1947 to Riley Giffin, Jr. and Erma

[Hess) Giffin. Karen grew up in the Waverly community and

graduated from Waverly High School in 1965

.On September 3, 1967 Karen married Steve Lightle. To this

union three kids were born: Brian Lightle (Tami) of Walnut

Creek, California. Darin Lightle (Jennifer) of Wichita, Kansas.

Tricia Bowers (Alan) of Waverly, Kansas.

Karen had a great never-ending love for her family. She

enjoyed gardening and working with flowers.

Karen's grandchildren are Caitlin and Jake Lightle of Walnut

Creek, California, Kelcie Benton of Waverly, Kansas, Shayla

Bowers of Lawrence, Kansas, and Derrek Bowers who

preceded her in death. Two step grandchildren Sam and Luke

Dixon of Wichita, Kansas.

Great granddaughter: Paige Benton of Waverly, Kansas was a

great inspiration to her in her last couple of years.

Surviving siblings include Marlene Wagner of Waverly, Kansas,

Sherie Giffin of Berryton, Kansas, and Gary Giffin of Waverly,

Kansas.

Services will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at the Peniel Bible Church, north of Waverly. The family will receive friends at 12:30 P.M. until service time at the Church. Burial will be in the Waverly Cemetery.
